Ships Whales & Acoustics in Gitga’at Territory (SWAG) is an initiative of the Gitga’at Nation, North Coast Cetacean Society (BC Whales) and WWF-Canada. SWAG is undertaking work that is contributing to reducing the risk of acoustic disturbance and ship strikes to whales in Gitga’at Territory.

Polar Sounds is a unique project reimagining some of the little-heard sounds of the Arctic and Antarctic regions, reflecting on climate change and the evolving sounds of the polar seascapes. Each polar sound is accompanied by a composition using that recording as source material and inspiration.
